Hydro Max ™ hydraulic brake booster and Master cylinder technical manual
It is powered by the power steering pump or other hydraulic power source. A backup pump, secondary power supply provides hydraulic brake booster and is controlled by an integral flow switch. The master cylinder is a split system type, a separate fluid in the ventricles, the Pistons and the outlet ports, front and rear brake circuits. There is also a pressure switch, the switch and the remote-charging status of fluid in the tank. During normal system operation (see Figure 4) fluid flow hydraulic power source (usually a steering pump) comes from the Hydro-MaxTM booster inlet port, flowing through the power piston flow switch around the throttle and exiting the outlet port. The driver of a vehicle's power by multiplying by the ratio of the brake pedal lever pedal mechanism to move the booster pedal rod. This closes the throttle valve, which restrict the flow. Flow, which leads to pressure to add acts of power piston, this limit applies to the master cylinder primary piston completed with force. The reaction of the piston within the power of the Piston subassembly contains driver "pedal feels" during the application of the brake pedal. Fluid flow to the flow switch Opens the electrical circuit during normal operation the backup pump. A separate shutoff valve battery backup unit the pump to prevent back flow of the pump through the course of normal applications. If the normal power supply is interrupted, the backup pump offers the power of a reduced rate of stopping by. See Figure 3 for diagram. When the flow interruption, an essential element in the flow switch closes, the energetic relay, to provide electricity to the battery backup unit to the pump. During the backup pump circulates fluid booster-re-Assembly of the pressure built on demand via the throttle. The fluid is retained within the booster inlet port shutoff valve.
