1998 Acura 3 5RL FUEL PUMP relay 3 5RL owners installation guide

If the engine does not start, go to the fuel pump RESISTOR (RL). 2. turn the engine off and the ignition is on. Measure the voltage between the ground and the PCM 12-pin connector Terminal No. 4 (green wire). If the voltage of the battery, go to the next step. If the battery voltage is not found, go to step 4). 3. start the engine and run the 3000 RPM in Park or neutral, and the transfer of the loads until the radiator fan. Allow the engine to idle for at least one minute. Shut off the engine. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the No. 21 vacuum manifold. 8-12. HG (27-40 kPa) vacuum pressure sensor in the intake manifold absolute pressure (map). Start the engine and drive the 6500 RPM in Park or neutral and the transfer of the loads. Measure the voltage between the ground and the PCM 12-pin connector Terminal No. 4 (green wire). If less than one Volt, fuel pump relay circuit is fine. If volts or more, replace a known good PCM then check again. If the symptom or the entry is removed, replace the original PCM. 4. turn off the power. Disconnect the PCM 26-pin and 12-pin connector. Unplug the fuel pump relay in the 4-pin connector. A fused jumper wire, connect the fuel pump relay connector terminals No. 2 (the red/white wire) and no. 4 (green wire). The ignition on. Measure the voltage between the ground and the PCM 12-pin connector Terminal No. 4 (green wire). If the battery voltage does not exist, go to the next step. If the voltage of the battery, replace the fuel pump relay. 5. remove the jumper wire.
